Government Rolls Out compulsory Digital Literacy Curriculum for All Primary Schools

The Ministry of Education and Sports has announced the nationwide implementation of a new compulsory digital literacy curriculum for all primary school students, starting next term.
The program aims to equip young learners with basic computer skills, online safety knowledge, and coding fundamentals. 

“In today’s world, digital skills are as essential as reading and writing. We are preparing our children for the future,” said the Minister of Education. Critics question the feasibility, citing a lack of devices and reliable internet in many rural schools.
